TLP Supporters Attack Karachi Restaurant
On Tuesday evening in Karachi, things got out of hand when a group of people, linked to Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), caused chaos at a popular fast-food restaurant in the Defence area. The fast-food restaurant attack in Karachi took a violent turn as the mob stormed the place, damaging the outlet. According to the police, they quickly stepped in and arrested ten individuals to bring the situation under control. It was a tense moment, but the authorities acted fast to settle things down.
Around 6 in the evening, a tense situation unfolded on Korangi Road when dozens of TLP followers, some clutching sticks and others armed with stones, targeted a well-known international fast-food restaurant. The fast-food restaurant attack in Karachi quickly turned chaotic as the group stormed the site with the clear intent to damage property, turning the area into a sudden flashpoint of unrest.
Police Step In to Fix the Situation and Bring Peace
As things began to escalate, the police quickly stepped in and took control of the situation. He shared that officers took ten individuals into custody as part of the effort to restore order.
The officer indicated that the attack likely stemmed from strong opposition to the US and Israel’s stance on Gaza. It appeared as a way to voice dissent over policies that many believed worsened the situation in the region.
The authorities have confirmed that the situation is now under control; furthermore, DIG Raza has assured that efforts are focused on apprehending the remaining protesters and those responsible for organizing the unrest. Consequently, their primary goal is to swiftly resolve the issue and restore peace to the area.
According to him, the authorities had strengthened security at multiple international fast-food chain branches, prioritizing the safety of both customers and staff.
Late on Monday night, TLP activists targeted a different branch of the same fast-food chain in Mohammad Ali Society. Bahadurabad SHO Naveed Soomro confirmed the incident and highlighted the growing tension in the area.
Reports indicated that someone targeted the restaurant right when a party rally moved through the area.
The restaurant supervisor submitted a formal report to the Bahadurabad police, accusing a group of nameless individuals of instigating turmoil and disorder.
