Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has kicked off the construction of a modern 100-bed international hospital in Islamabad. This important healthcare project is a joint effort between the National Police Foundation (NPF) and a Turkish company, with the goal of improving medical services for both police officers and the general public.
The National Police Foundation has provided the land for the hospital, while a Turkish private company is contributing Rs5 billion to finance the construction.
Minister Naqvi highlighted that this hospital is a key development for healthcare in the region. He also mentioned that it is a major milestone for the NPF, which has been revitalized under the leadership of Managing Director Sabir Ahmed.
Naqvi also noted that the profits from this and other NPF projects are being used to support police officers and the families of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
In addition to the hospital, the NPF and the Capital Development Authority are planning more joint projects, with discussions already understand.
The minister further shared that the NPF’s initiatives are not limited to Islamabad. For instance, a housing project was recently completed in Hyderabad, and there are ongoing efforts to upgrade the National Police Academy.
