To boost tourism and attract more foreign investments, the Pakistani government has introduced a new policy aimed at making the country more accessible to visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Under this policy, citizens from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can now enter Pakistan without needing a visa.
This change allows these travelers to stay in Pakistan for up to 90 days, which is expected to encourage more tourists and businesspeople to visit. As a result, stronger ties between Pakistan and the Gulf region are likely to develop, alongside a significant boost to Pakistan’s tourism industry.
Transitioning to a broader scope, immigration authorities at airports across Pakistan have been instructed to implement the new visa-free policy efficiently. The government’s efforts do not stop here; updated guidelines have also been introduced. These guidelines allow travelers from an additional 120 countries to visit Pakistan by simply obtaining a visa grant notice.
This comprehensive approach is part of Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives to become a more welcoming destination for international visitors. By making travel easier and more attractive, Pakistan hopes to stimulate economic growth through increased tourism and investment opportunities.
