“Deadpool & Wolverine” Reigns Supreme at the Box Office This Holiday Weekend

Box Office Recap: “Deadpool & Wolverine” Dominates Again

For the sixth consecutive week, “Deadpool & Wolverine” has maintained its top spot at the box office. According to Box Office Mojo, the superhero sequel generated $15.1 million during its sixth week, marking a modest decline of 17.1% from the previous weekend.

During the four-day holiday weekend, as reported by the Daily Mail, the film earned approximately $19.5 million while being shown in 3,630 theaters. This impressive performance allowed the film to surpass the $600 million mark in domestic earnings, making it only the 16th movie to achieve such a milestone.

On Labor Day, “Deadpool & Wolverine” averaged a solid $4,182 per screen across its 3,630 theater locations. As a result, its total domestic revenue reached $603.8 million, and it has amassed a staggering $1.3 billion worldwide.

Despite this tremendous success, the summer box office numbers have significantly fallen compared to 2023. It should be noted that “Deadpool & Wolverine” has topped the box office every weekend, except for its fourth week. During that period, the film’s $30 million earnings were eclipsed by “Alien: Romulus,” which debuted with $42 million.

In other box office news, “It Ends With Us” held steady in third place, collecting $7.42 million despite a 36% drop from the previous week. This brings its total domestic earnings to $133.7 million.

Additionally, among the two new releases this weekend, the Reagan biopic starring Dennis Quaid earned $7.4 million, securing fourth place.
