A new initiative has been introduced to enhance Pakistan’s technical skills in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). Huawei, a leading company in ICT and smart devices, plans to provide training to 300,000 young individuals across the country.
To finalize this ambitious project, Rana Mashood, who heads the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, visited Huawei Islamabad office on Saturday. This visit marked an important step in outlining the details of the training initiative, which has been backed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The primary goal of this project is to advance the technical education system within Pakistan.
Additionally, the training program will be overseen by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), ensuring its smooth implementation. Huawei global resources and expertise will be utilized to make the training as effective as possible.
This collaboration is the result of recent engagements between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Huawei representatives during his visit to China. It highlights a shared dedication to strengthening Pakistan’s technical education system and equipping the country’s youth with the skills needed for the growing ICT sector.
