Just two days before his discussion with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Dar, Lavrov engaged in talks with India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, emphasizing the urgent need to find a solution to the continuing issues between the two neighboring nations.
Pakistan Calls for Investigation
As reported by Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar discussed recent regional events during his talk with Lavrov. He strongly rejected India’s false accusations and harsh comments directed at Pakistan.
He strongly opposed India’s unilateral move to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, calling it a clear violation of international commitments and responsibilities.
Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister put forward Pakistan’s suggestion for a fair, transparent, and independent international investigation into the recent events. He stressed the importance of thoroughly investigating the situation to clarify the facts and hold everyone accountable.
