For the First Time in America’s 150-Year History, Secretary of Homeland Security Faces Accusations

The American House of Representatives Approves Bill Accusing President Joe Biden’s Secretary of Homeland Security for the First Time in 150 Years.

According to American media, following criticism from Republicans for voting against the important immigration bill, Alejandro Mayorkas, President Joe Biden’s Secretary of Homeland Security, is among the officials who will face accusations for the first time in 150 years.

The U.S. House of Representatives has approved the bill accusing Alejandro Mayorkas, who serves as the head of Homeland Security, with 214 votes in favor and 213 against. Critics say this happened because Republicans want to use issues related to the southern border to their advantage in future presidential elections.

According to media reports, for the first time in American political history in 150 years, a Cabinet Secretary is facing such allegations.

Three Republican leaders, Mike Gallagher, Ken Buck, and Tom McClintock, abstained from voting in favor of the accusations, citing disagreement with party policy and stating that the allegations against the Secretary of Homeland Security do not meet constitutional standards.

Alexander Mayorkas dismissed the allegations against him as unfounded, stating that his focus is on fulfilling official duties. He mentioned that our department’s 216,000 employees work for the American people.

On the other hand, President Joe Biden condemned the allegations against the Secretary of Homeland Security as ‘unconstitutional bias,’ while the spokesperson for Homeland Security also labeled the accusations as a political stunt by the Republicans.
