Bilal Bin Saqib Joins PM’s Team
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has Bilal Bin Saqib Appointed, who leads the Pakistan Crypto Council, to join his team as Special Assistant for Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. With the rank of Minister of State, Bilal will help guide Pakistan towards progress in digital finance and new technologies.
Plans for Crypto and Blockchain Growth
After taking on this important responsibility, Bilal Bin Saqib Appointed aims to create simple and safe rules for cryptocurrency that meet global standards, especially the ones set by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). He will also encourage Bitcoin mining in Pakistan and help bring blockchain technology into everyday systems like government offices, financial services, and land record management.
His job will involve making sure virtual asset service providers are properly licensed and regulated.
