Lin Jian, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, emphasized that the ceasefire between India and Pakistan is beneficial for both nations in the long term. He added that this agreement will help promote peace and stability in the region and meet the expectations of the global community for a peaceful resolution. China’s Role in Ceasefire is crucial in helping both countries maintain stability in the region.

Lin, speaking at a routine news briefing in Beijing, highlighted that India and Pakistan are neighboring countries with an inseparable bond. He added that both of these nations also share their borders with China.

He said that ever since the friction between India and Pakistan began, China has kept close ties with both nations, calling on them to stay composed, avoid rash actions, and work to prevent the situation from getting out of control. In Islamabad, the Defence Minister told reporters that if Pakistan and India have talks in the future. The main focus will be on three important issues. Kashmir, terrorism, and water disputes.

The minister noted that for the past two to three decades, terrorism has deeply affected the region, with Pakistan being the hardest hit. He remarked in frustration, “It’s truly ironic that the very country suffering the most from terrorism is being accused and even attacked.”

Khawaja Asif also emphasized the need for peace regarding the Kashmir dispute, saying.  This is the perfect opportunity for Pakistan and India to resolve the Kashmir issue peacefully.”
