Discover Punjab Himmat Card: Simple Steps to Verify Your Eligibility Online

The Punjab government has launched the Himmat Card for vulnerable groups across the province. Under the initiative, Rs. 10,500 would be disbursed to each cardholder every three months. An agreement signing ceremony was held between the Department of Social Welfare and the Bank of Punjab, attended by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. This scheme reflects the government’s resolve to support the most deserving individuals.

The Bank of Punjab will distribute ATM cards to 65,000 people in two stages. In the first phase, 40,000 individuals will receive their cards, followed by 25,000 in the second phase. Disbursements are expected to begin in mid-September, following the verification process.

To be eligible for the Himmat Card, individuals with disabilities must meet specific criteria. Certification by the Social Welfare Department of Punjab is required to confirm they are physically incapable of labor and currently unemployed.

Before applying for the Himmat Card, individuals must ensure they have not recently received grants from organizations like Bait ul Maal, Zakat Fund, Punjab Social Protection Authority, or the Benazir Income Support Programme. Moreover, it is required that their Poverty Means Testing score from BISP does not exceed 37. Additionally, Their personal information, including CNIC, address, mobile number, education, and experience, must be kept updated in the Disability Persons Management Information System.

Applications for the Himmat Card can be submitted online by visiting the official portal of the Social Welfare Department at https://swd.punjab.gov.pk/himmatcard.
