Eight People Die, Seven Hurt in Ghotki Road Accident

GHOTKI: Early Monday morning, a terrible road accident near Malook Wali village on the Sukkur-Multan motorway led to the deaths of eight people and left seven others injured.

The accident happened when a bus carrying passengers from Mansehra to Karachi crashed into a trailer truck. According to the Motorway Police, the victims included women and children, and four of the injured are in serious condition.

Rescue teams quickly took the injured and the bodies to Tehsil Hospital Ghotki for treatment and necessary legal procedures. The initial report identified some of the victims as Noor Elahi, Shagufta, Rozina, Uneeba, and Hasnat. Sadly, their families were not present at the hospital.

Heavy rain made it hard for rescue workers to identify the bodies and carry out their work. Once the rescue was complete, the damaged bus and trailer were moved to a nearby rest area.

On Sunday, a tragic accident occurred in Mian Khan village, Mardan, where a passenger coach plunged into a gorge. This unfortunate incident claimed the lives of four people and left 11 others injured, including women and children.

Earlier, on April 17, six people were killed, and several others were hurt in a crash involving a bus, an oil tanker, and a mini-truck on the Indus Highway near Manjhand.
