In Ghotki, Sindh, a tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday as an unnamed local journalist was shot and killed.citing police sources, the victim was identified as Bachal Ghuniyo, who worked for Awaz TV.
The attack occurred in Rawanti, Ghotki, where the armed assailants targeted Ghuniyo and then escaped the scene. After the shooting, the journalist’s body was transported to Ubauro Hospital.

Efforts are ongoing to uncover the exact reasons behind these attacks and to bring those responsible to justice.
In May, Nasrullah Gadani, a journalist, was severely wounded in an attack by unidentified gunmen near Mirpur Mathelo, in the Ghotki district. The incident occurred as Gadani was traveling from his home to the Mirpur Mathelo Press Club.
The attack took place on Jarwar Road, close to Deen Shah, where armed men in a vehicle opened fire on him. After the shooting, the assailants fled the scene. Gadani, suffering from multiple bullet wounds, was initially taken to Mirpur Mathelo DHQ Hospital for emergency care.
Subsequently, Gadani was transferred to Sheikh Zayed Medical College Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan for surgery. His condition required further treatment, leading to his transfer to Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi. Despite these efforts, Gadani passed away on Friday morning.
