A crucial meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled for September 4, 2024. This session will focus on the moon sighting for Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1446 AH. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will convene at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, under the leadership of Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad.
Parallel to this, zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal committees will conduct their own meetings at designated headquarters. These local gatherings aim to collect and review evidence regarding the moon sighting for the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
In attendance will be several prominent members of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committees, including Mufti Zameer Ahmed Sajid, Mufti Muhammad Iqbal Naeemi, Mufti Abdul Salam Jalali, Maulana Abu Bakar Siddiq, Maulana Haroon Rashid Balakoti, Allama Sajjad Hussain Jawadi, and Pir Muhammad Mumtaz Ahmed Zia Nizami, among other distinguished religious scholars.
The occasion is significant for Muslims globally, as they will observe the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, marking Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), celebrated during the third month in the Islamic calendar.
