She is more than just a smart lawyer, she truly cares about people. She helps those who have faced unfair treatment, and her work in human rights has made a difference all over the world. In court, she speaks clearly and calmly, and outside of it, she supports those who need it most. In 2024, she received the Legal 500 award for International Lawyer of the Year, a big honor for her kind heart and hard work.

Amal has spent years fighting for victims of terrible crimes like genocide and sexual violence. She played a key role in the first trials convicting ISIS members for their brutal acts. Amal also represents over 800 Yazidi survivors, seeking justice in the U.S. for those who funded ISIS.
