Meet Ree’s 5 Kids, Including Alex Drummond, Learn Their Life

Ladd and Ree Drummond have a happy family with five children. They are parents to three sons and two daughters.

If you’re a fan of The Pioneer Woman on Food Network, you’ve likely heard about Ree Drummond’s five kids. They might not always be on screen, but she often writes about them online. Alex Drummond has always been one of the standout figures in Ree’s posts about her family.

Family has always been a big part of Ree Drummond’s life. She and her husband, Ladd, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Alex Drummond, in 1997, just one year after they got married. In 1999, their second daughter, Paige, was born. Then came their son Bryce in 2002, and two years later, they had another son named Todd. Over the years, they’ve built a warm and happy family together on the ranch. Alex Drummond played a pivotal role in helping create the family dynamic that Ree often highlights.

Back in 2018, Ree and Ladd opened their hearts and home to a foster child named Jamar. He stayed with them for a long time, around a year and a half. By the end of 2020, Ree shared that Jamar wasn’t just staying with them anymore, he had become a real part of their fun and loving family. . Alex Drummond supported her parents in welcoming Jamar into their home, helping him feel like family.

Looking after a big family isn’t always simple, but Ree and Ladd didn’t back away from it. Years ago, in 2010, Ree shared that being a mom is about staying calm during the busy times, laughing when things get silly, and enjoying every part of the journey, no matter how crazy it gets. Alex Drummond helped keep the family’s energy positive with her lively spirit.

When the world slowed down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ree found help right at home. With no film crew around, her kids stepped up and took charge of filming her show. Ree later shared that working side by side with them turned into a fun and meaningful time they’ll always remember. Alex Drummond’s contribution to the show made the experience extra special for the entire family.

Now that Ree’s kids are grown and living their own lives, she doesn’t get to be with them like she used to. That’s why the little moments mean so much to her. In early 2021, she wrote that even a small hello or a quick kiss from one of her kids makes her feel happy and thankful. Alex Drummond continues to be a source of comfort and joy for Ree as they navigate their busy lives.

Ree’s daughter Alex drummond is 28

Alex has always been a big part of the Drummond family story. She was born on June 25, 1997, and spent her childhood on the family’s ranch in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. When she was about nine, her mom Ree started writing online. A few years later, around the time Alex turned fourteen, Ree’s cooking show began. But even with all the fame and attention, Alex shared in 2022 that her mom stayed grounded and never changed how she raised them. That’s something Alex will always admire. Alex Drummond always admired her mother’s authenticity and grounded nature.

Alex shared that being with her mom feels so normal, she sometimes forgets her mom is a TV star. She explained that Ree is still silly, fun, and acts just like any regular mom. Even after becoming famous, Alex says her mom hasn’t changed, she’s still the same caring and goofy person she’s always been. This connection between them is what makes Alex Drummond’s bond with her mother so special.

Back when Alex was younger, she sometimes felt unsure about her life. Being taught at home, living out in the country, and having people know who she was made her feel different. In a 2022 post, she looked back and said she wished she hadn’t spent so much time worrying about all those things. She now sees that there was no need to feel that way. Alex Drummond is glad she now embraces her uniqueness and can reflect on the journey with confidence.

Alex’s journey took a new turn when she left home in 2015 to go to college in Texas. She studied at Texas A&M University and joined a student group called Tri Delta. During her first year, she became friends with Mauricio Scott, who would later become her husband. Alex Drummond’s time in Texas helped shape her into the person she is today.

Funny enough, neither of them clearly remembers how they first met. Alex once posted that it probably happened at a party held by her group, but they’re not exactly sure. Still, that meeting turned into something truly special. Alex Drummond and Mauricio’s connection blossomed into a loving relationship that would eventually lead to marriage.

That day felt big for Ree, May 9, 2019. She shared a special old photo online to show how happy she was about Alex finishing college. Alex Drummond’s graduation marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life, and Ree couldn’t have been prouder.

Like many young adults, Alex took time to find what felt right after college. She worked for a year at a company in Dallas, exploring a new path. But later, she shared on Instagram that she felt pulled back to her roots. She started helping her mom with filming the cooking show, joined in on photo projects for products, and worked from home to support the family brand. Alex Drummond’s decision to return home proved to be the right one as she found her place within the family business.

What started as casual help soon turned into something more for Alex. Ree mentioned that she didn’t always expect Alex to work with her after college. But when the pandemic hit and everything had to be done from home, Alex Drummond stepped in and helped with all kinds of tasks. She did such a great job that Ree decided to bring her on full-time. It was a choice that came naturally, and worked out beautifully.

In 2020, Alex Drummond said yes to Scott’s proposal. The two later got married on May 21, 2021, at her family’s ranch in Oklahoma. The wedding was full of happy moments, but for Alex Drummond, one thing stood out, her dad was there. Not long before the big day, he had been in a scary truck crash. Seeing him standing strong at her side made the day even more special. It was a moment she would never forget.

Alex Drummondlater shared a touching moment about her dad. Just a few days before her wedding, his doctor told him he could take off his neck brace for some parts of the day. This made things feel extra special. He didn’t have to wear the heavy brace, and he got to enjoy those moments more comfortably. For  Alex Drummond, that made the day even more perfect.

A big joy came into Alex Drummond and Scott’s life on December 18, 2024, their daughter, Sofia Marie, was born and made them a family of three.

Just before Christmas, something magical happened, Alex Drummond and Scott’s baby girl arrived at 2:27 a.m., a little earlier than planned. Sharing the happy news online, Alex Drummond said their hearts are full and their world will never be the same.

After some time passed, Ree opened up on Instagram about her new role as a grandmother. She laughed about how strange it felt at first and said she didn’t think she was quite ready to join the “grandma side” just yet.

Ree shared that seeing her daughter’s baby, who looks just like her daughter did years ago, brought a wave of warm, happy memories. She felt the joy of being a mom again, but this time without the tired nights or confusing moments. At first, she didn’t feel ready to be a grandma, but now she says it’s one of the best things that’s happened to her, and she’s deeply thankful.

Turning 25: Paige’s Next Big Step

On the last day of August in 1999, a little girl named Paige was born in Oklahoma. She became the second child in Ree Drummond’s growing family.

In late summer of 1999, a baby girl named Paige joined the Drummond family in Oklahoma. She was the second child, bringing even more love into Ree’s home.

Ree once opened up about her daughter Paige in a heartfelt way. She said Paige has a special talent for taking beautiful pictures. Alex Drummond also bakes delicious cupcakes that show her creative side. Paige is full of energy, has great style, and brings joy to those around her. Her bright spirit and kind heart are things Ree treasures deeply. To Ree, Paige is not just her daughter, Alex Drummond a light in her life.

In 2015, when Alex Drummond went to college, it was a hard moment for Ree. She felt sad, just like many parents do when their first child leaves home. But Paige was still living with her, and that really helped. Even though they missed Alex Drummond, Paige kept things feeling normal. Ree said the house still felt happy and full because Paige was there.

When Paige also left for college in 2018, everything at home felt upside down. Ree felt the change right away. With both daughters gone, the house didn’t feel the same anymore. It turned into a space full of guys, where loud football games and ranch stories filled the air. Ree laughed that her home now felt more like a boys’ clubhouse than a family house.

Paige took a big step when Alex Drummond moved away for college. Alex Drummond studied at a university in Arkansas and joined a group of friends called Kappa Kappa Gamma. After putting in years of effort, Alex Drummond proudly finished school and graduated in 2022. It was a proud moment for her and her whole family.

Looking back at her college days, Paige felt amazed at how fast time had gone. The campus, once new to her, had become a cozy and familiar place. Alex Drummond tried to share her feelings but said words weren’t enough to show how truly grateful Alex Drummond was. For Paige, those four years were full of growth, memories, and heart.

Once she finished college, Paige moved back home to the family ranch. There, she began working full-time, jumping into new responsibilities and helping with family work. It was the start of a new chapter close to home.

In her blog, Ree explained that Paige is gaining hands-on skills around the ranch. She does many jobs like handling cattle, caring for calves, fixing fences and water spots, and building salt containers. There’s a lot to do, and Paige is getting better at each task every day.

Life on the ranch isn’t always easy, and Paige is feeling that firsthand. The cookbook author shared that Paige has been getting scraped up and bruised from all the tough work. Only time will show if she’s ready to keep going long-term. Ladd enjoys having her back at home, and honestly, so do I!

After dating for a year, Paige and David Andersen got engaged in August 2024. Paige happily posted on Instagram, saying how excited she was to marry David, the person she loves most. She shared a bunch of pictures from their special day to celebrate.

Bryce Drummond, 22 years young

On September 17, 2002, Bryce was born as the family’s first boy. He changed the mix of kids at home and filled their lives with lots of laughter. Ree once said, “Every family has that one kid who can make you laugh no matter what, for me, it’s Bryce. Whether it’s something he says, a funny face, or just his way of looking at things, he always makes me smile.”

Just like his sisters, Bryce was raised in Pawhuska, where his parents helped teach him when he was young. Ree shared for his 18th birthday, “Before Bryce played quarterback, he was busy being a cowboy.”

Bryce took a different path from his brothers and sisters by going to a traditional high school. While his siblings studied at home, Bryce chose to attend Pawhuska High. That’s where he kicked off his football journey as the main quarterback. In his senior year, he completed hundreds of passes, somewhere between 233 and 308, and scored 59 touchdowns, helping his team go undefeated all season. This experience helped shape him both on and off the field.

Bryce finished high school early in December 2020. He got offers from Purdue, Texas State, and Tulsa, but he decided to go to the University of North Texas. Ree shared, “Bryce feels great, and Ladd and I are thrilled he gets to keep playing football. We’re really proud of his hard work. I might cry for a very long time!”, It’s clear how much this moment meant to his family. They supported him through all the practices and games. Now, they’re excited to see where this new chapter takes him.

From a young age, Bryce always dreamed big when it came to football. In July 2020, he shared one of his goals, saying he wanted to be the best passer in Oklahoma, and maybe even number one in the whole country. His words showed how passionate he was about the game and how high he wanted to reach. That moment gave everyone a glimpse of his strong spirit and determination.

The day had finally come Bryce was ready to begin his college life in January 2021. Before leaving, he shared a warm hug with his younger brothers. Ree, feeling both proud and emotional, posted on Instagram, saying something like, “He’s off to college today. Maybe I’ll stop crying in 2085. It wasn’t easy for her to see him go, but she knew he was starting an exciting new chapter. His journey ahead was just beginning, and his family would always be cheering him on.

A special visit made the day extra exciting.By September 2022, Ree and her son had started settling into their new routine after he went to college. She and her daughter Paige came to watch his first football game of the season. They cheered for him with big smiles and called themselves Bryce’s biggest fans. Family support made everything feel just right.

Bryce shared a photo online saying that his spring clothes this year aren’t what he usually wears, hinting at his new college life. His mom, Ree, happily commented back, cheering him on and telling him how proud she is of the path he’s taking.

Not long after that, Ree shared a fun video online showing a visit to see her son Bryce at his college. During the visit, they went shopping together to get some stuff he needed for his new place. The video showed them walking through the store, talking and laughing. At one moment, Bryce grabbed a few kitchen things that were actually from his mom’s own product line.

Bryce called me yesterday and asked if I could come visit him at college. He said he wanted to grab dinner and pick up a few things for his apartment. I happily agreed, of course. I only teased him that we’d stop by some of my favorite sections in the store while we were at it!

Jamar Goff — 22 Years Old Now

From the moment Jamar Goff became part of the Drummond family, everything changed in a special way. He was born on October 7, 2002, and in 2018, Ree and Ladd welcomed him into their home as foster parents. At first, Ree didn’t talk much about Jamar in public. But later on, Alex Drummond shared their journey and close connection in her book Frontier Follies. His story became a meaningful chapter in their family’s life, one that Ree now speaks about with love and pride.

Sometimes life leads you to things you never expect. Ree and Ladd hadn’t planned on taking in another child, but then Jamar needed help. One afternoon, he came to their door with his bag, ready to stay. He was tall, really tall, and from that day on, he became a part of their family in the most unexpected way.

From the start, fate had a special plan for Jamar and the Drummond family. He first met Ladd and the boys, Bryce and Todd, through football. Later, he visited their home, where he was introduced to Ree. Not long after, Jamar had a bad accident while riding an ATV.

During his recovery, he and Ree spent more time together, which helped them become close. What began with a visit soon turned into a bond that changed all of their lives forever.

There was a day when Jamar had a serious accident while riding a four-wheeler. He lost control while turning and the vehicle rolled over, hurting his foot badly. The injury was serious enough that doctors had to do two big treatments, one to replace damaged skin and another to fix a torn tendon. Because of that, Jamar couldn’t walk and had to rest in bed for a month and a half while his foot healed slowly. That tough time brought him even closer to the family.

After Jamar got hurt, Ree wanted to make him feel better in her own way. She started bringing him tasty, homemade meals all day long. Morning, afternoon, and night, she’d walk in with a full tray, loaded with food, drinks, and anything else he might need. It was her way of showing love and care while he rested and healed.

When Jamar joined the Drummond family, none of them knew how close they’d become so quickly. Everything changed after he injured his foot in an ATV accident. Ree stepped in like a caring mom, making sure he took his medicine and helping with his bandages.

Ladd took him to his appointments, and the boys helped him get around the house. They were all part of his healing, both physically and emotionally. That tough moment helped break the ice and brought them all together as one strong family. Sometimes, unexpected things lead to the most meaningful connections.

From the sidelines to the spotlight, Jamar’s journey reached a proud milestone. In February 2021, Ree shared some exciting news, Jamar had signed up to play college football with the University of Central Oklahoma Broncos. It was a huge achievement, and Ree couldn’t hold back how proud she was.

She gave thanks to all the people who had supported him along the way, including coaches, teammates, and close friends. Most of all, she praised Jamar for his effort, dedication, and the special place he now held in their family. That day marked the beginning of a bright new chapter for Jamar, and a heartwarming one for the whole Drummond family.

There’s never a dull moment when Jamar comes home from college. In 2021, he began his college life, but in March 2022, he made a trip back, bringing along a mountain of laundry. Ree shared the moment online with humor, saying, “If I had a Tide pod for every grain of sand in the world, it still wouldn’t be enough to clean all the laundry Jamar brought home!” She ended her post with a laugh, adding, “Good thing he’s such a sweetheart.” That visit may have included piles of clothes, but it also came with a whole lot of love.

Todd Drummond — 21 Years Old Now

Todd, the youngest in the Drummond family, was born on a summer day, June 4th, 2004. His arrival completed the family in a special way.

Todd was still very young when his mom’s cooking show became popular on TV. From that time, viewers watched him grow up on the screen. He spent a lot of his early years learning at home but later chose to attend Pawhuska High School to continue his education. Now, he is exploring new experiences beyond homeschooling.

As the years passed, the Drummond home grew quieter. In 2021, Jamar left for college, becoming the last child to live there. Ree shared with PEOPLE, “Our house feels almost empty now!” It was a big change for the family, marking a new chapter in their lives.

Todd stepped up as the starting quarterback for his high school football team in 2021, just like his older brother Bryce did before him. Ree shared on Instagram that Todd worked really hard every day and ended the season throwing for more than 3,600 yards and scoring 50 touchdowns.

She wasn’t trying to show off but wanted to highlight how much heart and commitment Todd has for the game. It made her feel incredibly proud to see her youngest son give his all on the field. Watching him grow into such a dedicated player has been a real joy for the family.

Ree wanted to honor Todd’s hard work, so she made the fall 2022 edition of The Pioneer Woman magazine just for him. She even posed on the front cover with her youngest boy. Ree shared how proud she feels seeing Todd’s strong commitment and passion. It was a special moment to recognize all he’s achieved.

After working hard in high school football, Todd shared exciting news in June 2022. He said he would be joining the University of South Dakota Coyotes to continue his football journey in fall 2023. This new chapter marked an important step forward for him.

Before Todd headed off to college in January, Ree and Ladd began adjusting to life with an empty house. In late 2022, Ree shared a picture of them outside and wrote, “With the kids almost all gone, Ladd and I are finding new things to do together. Evening walks have become our new routine!”

It was a big day for Ree and her youngest son. In January 2023, she took Todd to college to begin a new chapter in his life. On the way, she posted a photo on her Instagram Story. Todd was sitting in the back seat, proudly wearing his red University of South Dakota shirt. Ree added the message, “We got to South Dakota yesterday. Go Yotes! And go Todd!” A new adventure had begun, and both mother and son were ready for what came next.
