Recently, it was revealed by the administration of the Two Holy Mosques that Al-Masjid an-Nabawi experienced a significant influx of visitors in the past week. The total number of people who visited the mosque reached 5,735,016. Among them, 527,152 specifically visited to pay their respects at the shrine of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
This information follows an earlier report that indicated a notable rise in the number of visitors and worshippers at the mosque during the Islamic year 1445 AH. In total, 281 million individuals were reported to have visited the sacred site that year. Compared to the previous year, this marked an increase of 25 million visitors.
Additionally, it was highlighted that 11 million people performed prayers and visited the Prophet shrine within the same period. This figure represents an increase of 1.8 million compared to the prior year.
The continued rise in the number of visitors and worshippers reflects the deepening spiritual connection that Muslims worldwide maintain with Al-Masjid Nabawi. As each year passes, the number of people drawn to this holy site continues to grow.
