Morning Rain Refreshes Karachi: A Cool Start to the Day

The weather in Karachi took a pleasant turn on Tuesday as parts of the city experienced early morning showers, bringing relief to residents. Rainfall was observed in various locations, including Saddar, Shahra-e-Faisal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Landhi, Korangi, M.A Jinnah Road, and several other areas. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has indicated that the rain is expected to continue throughout the day with intermittent breaks.

In the late hours of Monday, the PMD provided a detailed report on the rainfall amounts recorded across different regions of Karachi. Notably, Gulshan-e-Hadeed received the highest amount of rainfall, measuring 42 millimeters. In contrast, other areas such as Nazimabad recorded 26 millimeters, Surjani Town saw 25.4 millimeters, and Saddar experienced 13 millimeters of rain. Additionally, the PAF Faisal Base and Gulshan-e-Memar recorded 12 millimeters and 12.4 millimeters of rainfall, respectively.

In response to the weather conditions, the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, issued directives to local bodies, district administrations, and the irrigation department. They were urged to remain vigilant and ready to take prompt action should any emergencies arise due to the forecasted heavy rainfall in the province.
