Pakistan has shown deep sadness and strong concern over the attack on a hospital in Gaza by Israeli forces. The government said that hitting Gaza hospitals again and again is not only cruel but also goes against international rules meant to protect innocent people.
Attack on Gaza Hospital Shows Disrespect for Religious Traditions
In a statement, Shafqat Ali Khan, spokesperson for the Foreign Office, said the attack on Palm Sunday shows Israel’s complete disrespect for religious traditions and the sanctity of human life.
Pakistan has urgently called for an end to Israel’s violence, highlighting that it has taken the lives of innocent, unarmed Palestinians,women and children included,and caused widespread destruction in its wake.
Gaza Hospital Attacks Devastate Healthcare System
He emphasized that Israel’s constant attacks have nearly destroyed Gaza hospital system, leaving patients in desperate need of treatment with no help. Combined with the blockade on aid, it seems like a deliberate effort to prolong the suffering and fuel the conflict.
The spokesperson called for an immediate end to Israel’s military actions and reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong support for a two-state solution. This means a free, independent Palestine with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital, based on the borders before 1967.
He called on the international community to take swift action, hold Israel accountable, and ensure the safety of Palestinian civilians from any more violence.
