PM Demands Fast Switch to Paperless Offices: One-Month Deadline Set

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wants all federal government offices to go paperless by using an “e-office” system within a month. This change is meant to make government work faster and more transparent.

The prime minister has warned that delays in setting up the e-office system will not be accepted. From next month, all government work should be done electronically. This move aims to make government processes quicker and clearer.

All government workers are now required to use the e-office system for handling documents. Staff at the PM Office have already been trained on how to use it. The prime minister has also started using the e-office system himself to review files.

This new system is a big step toward better government management and digital progress. A report on how the e-office system is being set up will be due in two weeks. Regular checks will be done to make sure everything is going as planned.

In addition to these measures, the prime minister’s office has outlined a rigorous follow-up plan to ensure compliance with the new system. Regular assessments and updates on the transition process are to be conducted, with the aim of addressing any challenges promptly. This proactive approach is intended to support a smooth shift to the e-office system, ultimately contributing to more efficient and transparent government operations.
