Just as the day began on Sunday, explosions shook Kyiv and several other cities as Russian forces launched fresh attacks. Authorities shared that 11 people were injured in the capital, while three others lost their lives in nearby towns. The blasts also left homes and other buildings damaged. The strikes have once again brought fear and destruction to the region Russian drones.
Officials from the Kyiv region shared some sad news. Three people died in two small towns not far from the capital. These losses happened just outside the city limits.
The violence spread far beyond the capital. Several important cities felt the impact, including Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, as well as Mykolaiv in the south and Ternopil in the west. These attacks showed the wide reach of the ongoing conflict Russian drones.

Near the city center, in the Holosiivskyi area, a five-level apartment caught fire after being hit. The outside of the building was badly damaged by the flames Russian drones.
The drone attacks damaged multiple locations across Kyiv. They hit one residential home and also harmed a business property.
The attacks didn’t stop after the first night. For two nights in a row, Russian drones targeted the city. This was the second big attack to happen back-to-back.
Kyiv endured one of its most intense nights since the conflict began. Russian forces unleashed dozens of drones and ballistic missiles, marking one of the largest air strikes in the three-year conflict. The assaults damaged multiple apartment buildings and left 15 people injured across the city.
Fresh aerial attacks targeted the city of Kharkiv. Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that drones struck three neighborhoods in the northeast, injuring three residents. These blasts also caused windows to shatter in several high-rise apartments.
The violence continued to affect cities across Ukraine. For example, in Mykolaiv, drone strikes injured two residents in a quiet neighborhood, according to the regional governor. At the same time, in the west, a missile struck Ternopil, breaking windows and setting off a small blaze. Moreover, these attacks have increased fear among the local population.
Reports of violence came from many places. In Konotop, a town north of Kyiv, officials said Russian drones launched a heavy attack on the area. The incident added to the growing unrest in the region.
Russia’s airspace has faced heavy pressure recently. In just four hours, Russian defence units stopped or destroyed 95 Ukrainian drones. In Moscow, the city’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, said defence forces blocked 12 drones from reaching the capital. These actions show the rising aerial tensions in the region.
