What’s the storyline of Season 5 Stranger Things?
The Duffer Brothers, the creators of Stranger Things, once shared with Tudum that they wrote a 25-page document all about the mythology and lore of the Upside Down, back when Season 1 was being made. Matt Duffer explained that they knew a lot about the Upside Down, but wanted to keep it mysterious and unknowable.
“We didn’t want to give it all away,” he said. But when Netflix asked them to write it down, they did just that, capturing everything they had planned for the eerie parallel world.
Season 4 certainly peeled back a few layers of the mystery surrounding the Upside Down, but there’s much more to be revealed in Season 5. Ross Duffer hinted during Geeked Week in June 2022 that some of the most important questions from their extensive mythology document will be addressed in the final season.
We chose to keep some answers secret. When revealed, they will greatly impact Season 5,” he teased.
