Zong Delivers High-Speed 4G to 15+ Cities in Gilgit-Baltistan: The Region’s Largest Network Expansion!

In an effort to enhance connectivity across Pakistan, Zong has recently expanded its 4G network into Gilgit-Baltistan. With this rollout, residents of Gilgit, Hunza, and Skardu can now enjoy high-speed and seamless 4G services. The network has been activated citywide, and preparations for further expansion are already underway. This development underscores Zong’s dedication to delivering high-quality and affordable 4G connectivity throughout the country.

To enhance digitalization and support the livelihoods of residents, a significant initiative has been launched to expand data connectivity across Pakistan, particularly in the Gilgit-Baltistan region. Currently, 59 4G sites are being established in more than 15 cities within this region. As a result, residents in key cities such as Gilgit, Astore, Skardu, and Hunza now have access to seamless network connectivity. This expansion is not only expected to benefit the local population but will also greatly assist both domestic and international tourists who visit the region each year. Consequently, the provision of high-quality connectivity will facilitate smoother communication and enhance the overall experience for all users.

A strategic partnership between Zong and the Special Communications Organization (SCO) has made it possible for Zong’s 4G network to be available in Gilgit-Baltistan. By sharing crucial network resources, Zong and SCO have ensured that 4G services are both accessible and affordable for the residents of this region. Consequently, this collaboration is set to enhance connectivity and support the local community effectively.
