The Inter Global Human Development Society (IGHDS) has demonstrated their commitment to a noble cause by organizing a Thalassemia camp near Saleh Putt. This initiative aimed to gather blood donations specifically for children suffering from Thalassemia.
During the event, a medical team consisting of doctors and paramedics from the Sukkur Blood and Drug Society Hospital participated. Their primary responsibility was to oversee the collection of blood donations intended for children afflicted with Thalassemia.
Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that results in the body’s inability to produce adequate amounts of hemoglobin, leading to anemia and other health complications. Regular blood transfusions are often necessary for individuals with Thalassemia to maintain their health and well-being.
The efforts of the Inter Global Human Development Society in collaborating with medical professionals to organize this blood donation camp can significantly impact the lives of children with Thalassemia. Such initiatives not only provide necessary medical support but also raise awareness about the condition and encourage community engagement in charitable activities.
Many people gave their blood to help. Many kids with Thalassemia and anemia are part of the Thalassemia Center at Sukkur Hospital. They got free blood from the blood bank there.
