China’s demand for Pakistani meat has been on the rise, particularly from January to July 2024, during which significant growth in meat exports was observed. The value of these exports has reached $2.6 million, with boiled beef emerging as the top product.
Pakistani meat, known for its quality, has been increasingly favored in the Chinese market. As a result, Pakistan has established itself as a key supplier of premium meat products to China. The expansion in exports is being attributed to both the superior quality of Pakistani meat and the competitive pricing offered by the country.
According to Owais Mir, Chairman of the DEA Group, the success of Pakistan’s boiled beef in China can be seen as a testament to the strong collaboration between the two nations. Their efforts to enhance their economic ties have played a vital role in this achievement.
Moreover, during the first seven months of 2024, the export of boiled meat from Pakistan amounted to 540 tons, bringing in $2.607 million. Notably, three Pakistani companies have been authorized to carry out these exports. Consequently, industry experts believe that this upward trend is likely to persist.
In the future, it is expected that Pakistan’s growing meat exports will not only strengthen its economic relationship with China but also open doors to more trade opportunities between the two countries.
