The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF), led by Maulana Fazalur Rehman, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have agreed to work more closely together in the National Assembly and Senate. This decision came after a meeting on Friday between PTI leaders, including Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, and Maulana Fazalur Rehman along with other JUIF leaders.

During the meeting, key members from both parties were present. PTI’s team included Asad Qaisar, Shibli Faraz, Rauf Hassan, and Akunzada Hussain Yousufzai. On the JUIF side, Maulana Fazalur Rehman was joined by Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Maulana Amjad Khan, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Maulana Ziaur Rehman, and Aslam Ghori.

After the meeting, PTI spokesman Rauf Hassan told the media that both parties had agreed to keep meeting and working together in the National Assembly and Senate. The goal is to improve cooperation and make sure that both sides consult each other on important decisions.

Maulana Ziaur Rehman from JUIF also mentioned that committees have been set up to handle law-making in both houses of Parliament. These committees will include Senators Shibli Faraz and Kamran Murtaza for the Senate, and Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri for the National Assembly. They will be responsible for managing legislative issues and ensuring that both parties work smoothly together.
