In 2023, the best-selling smartphone worldwide was not a cheap Android device but rather Apple’s expensive iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The claim was made by Canalys, a company that releases reports on smartphone sales figures. In this report, they revealed the top 10 best-selling phones in 2023.
Out of the top 10 on the list, 7 smartphones are iPhones made by Apple.
In fact, the top 5 smartphones are all made by Apple.
According to the report, the best-selling phone worldwide in 2023 was the iPhone 14 Pro Max, with sales of 340 million units.
Surprisingly, the iPhone 15 Pro Max took second place, introduced in September 2023.
During the three months, 330 million units of the iPhone 15 Pro Max were sold.
The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 13 respectively ranked third to fifth as the best-selling smartphones.
The iPhone 15 Pro ranked seventh, while the regular iPhone 15 came in at the tenth spot.
Other than Apple, smartphones from Samsung ranked sixth, eighth, and ninth on this list.
