Kylian Mbappe Frustrated After La Liga Debut Ends in Draw

Kylian Mbappe’s first game in La Liga with Real Madrid didn’t go as hoped, ending in a 1-1 draw against Real Mallorca on Sunday. The game was played at Son Moix Stadium.

Despite a promising start with Rodrygo scoring for Madrid early on, they struggled to hold onto the lead. Mallorca’s Vedat Muriqi scored a header in the second half, leveling the score.

Real Madrid’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, admitted the team had issues during the match. “We started well but failed to maintain our balance in the second half,” he said. “We allowed too many quick breaks from the other team and didn’t defend well enough.”

Ancelotti kept the same lineup from their recent UEFA Super Cup win over Atalanta, which included Jude Bellingham in midfield and Mbappe up front with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo. Although Mbappe had scored in that Super Cup match, he couldn’t find the net in his La Liga debut.

The coach was critical of the team’s performance, saying they needed to improve their attitude and teamwork. “This game showed us where we need to get better. Mallorca defended strongly, and we didn’t match their level,” Ancelotti explained. Mbappe had a few chances but missed the target, and his performance drew negative reactions from fans on social media. One fan criticized him harshly, while another felt the team’s performance was a waste of time.
